Throughout the week, the NFL and its broadcast partners have been releasing individual games, but on Wednesday, May 15, the league unveiled the 2024-25 season schedule. So, we here at The Streamable have gone through the entire slate of games to figure out the cheapest way for football fans across the country to see every game of the season.

Disney, Fox, Warner Bros. Discovery Joint Venture Sports Streamer Venu

Disney, Fox, and Warner Bros. Discovery have finally revealed the name of their joint venture sports streaming service: Venu Sports. Using Venu, NFL fans will have a new way to be able to stream Fox’s Sunday afternoon package outside of cable or live TV streaming services like DIRECTV STREAM, Hulu + Live TV, and Fubo. Every game that airs on your local Fox affiliate in the regular season and playoffs will stream on Venu.

The e-service is also highly likely to offer any NFL Network-exclusive games played in 2024, as ESPN is reportedly close to taking over NFL Media operations as part of an investment from the league in the worldwide leader in sports. That forthcoming platform will also include all of ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” broadcasts.

Most analysts, including The Streamable's experts have predicted that Venu will cost around $50 per month, so for the purposes of this exercise, we’ll proceed as if that will be the final price when the platform comes to customers.

You’ll need Venu all the way through February if you want it to stream NFL games since the 2024-25 season’s Super Bowl will air on Fox. It will also allow you to watch the NFC Championship and other playoff games, though, of course, any contests airing on NBC or CBS won’t be available.

The streamer has two subscription plans, the ad-supported Essentials for $5.99 and the ad-free Paramount+ with SHOWTIME for $11.99. While only the latter comes with access to your local CBS affiliate, the lower-priced Essentials plan does provide streams of every NFL on CBS game available in your local market.

Keep in mind that even when opting for the “ad-free” plan, the lack of commercials does not apply to simulcasts of live broadcasts. So while you won’t have ads interrupting your movies and TV shows, the commercials that air as part of a football game — or anything watched via your CBS affiliate — will still have the ad breaks naturally built in.

You’ll want Paramount+ to watch games on CBS from September to January, as the channel will host the 2024-25 AFC Championship along with other playoff contests.

“Thursday Night Football” is also not included with Venu, as national streams of those games are only available on Prime Video. The one exception is when you live in the local market of a team featured in that week’s matchup. There is no consistency as to what channels those will be from market to market, so while there is a fairly good chance that it will be a channel available via one of the streaming options that we include, the easiest way to guarantee that you see every “TNF” game is with an $8.99 monthly subscription to Prime Video.

For the first time, Prime Video will offer a playoff game in 2024-25. This Wild Card game will be a streaming exclusive for all fans who don’t live in the home markets of the two teams playing, so you’ll need to keep Prime Video through January to watch.

Peaco*ck

The price of streaming “Sunday Night Football” is about to go up. Peaco*ck has announced that the price of its ad-supported plan is increasing to $7.99 per month this summer, so fans will have to pay a little more to see the exclusive Week 1 game on the streamer between the Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers.

Like Paramount+, Peaco*ck also has two subscription tiers, but both allow you to stream their NFL offerings. By the time that the NFL season kicks off this fall, the ad-supported Peaco*ck Premium will cost the aforementioned $7.99 while the add-free Premium Plus will be $13.99. Like its Paramount-owned competitor, only the higher-priced tier provides access to your live, local affiliate, so while there are a lot of sports available on Peaco*ck regardless of tier — including the NFL, Big Ten and [Notre Dame] football and basketball, the English Premier League, and more — the only way to see everything that NBC has to offer is with the Premium Plus plan.

Any NFL playoff games appearing on NBC will stream simultaneously on Peaco*ck, just as regular season contests do. With that in mind, you’ll need to keep your Peaco*ck subscription until at least January if you want to see all NFL games of the season on the streamer.

There will be one ESPN+-exclusive regular season NFL game this year, a Week 7 matchup between the Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Chargers on Oct. 21. Fans of these two teams and NFL completists will need an ESPN+ subscription to watch it, and the service will also offer six total simulcasts of regular season and playoff NFL games appearing on ESPN.

If you’ve got Venu, you won’t need ESPN+, as all of that platform’s content will be included in the combined service. If you don’t, however, you can stream the Cardinals and Chargers in Week 7 with a one-time payment of $10.99.

Netflix

On Wednesday night, it was confirmed that all of the smoke that had been visible about Netflix currently pursuing the NFL's Christmas Day bundle of games was indeed connected to fire. The NFL confirmed that the world’s largest streaming service has landed its first broadcast deal with a major sports league, which means that fans will need to fork over at least $6.99 per month more to subscribe to the ad-supported plan of Netflix; assuming the service makes the games available to all subscribers.

When Netflix first introduced its ad-supported Standard with ads plan, due to the complicated maze of licenses that had been signed before the philosophy-shifting change was made, some titles were not immediately available to consumers on the lower-cost tier. While some of those agreements have been modified to allow them to be streamed by all Netflix customers, not all of them have been. So, it is possible — though not likely — that the streaming giant could move their undoubtedly expensive new rights to a higher subscription tier.

If it does that, it would almost certainly be to the ad-free Standard plan, which runs $15.99 monthly, although the Premium plan, which costs $22.99 every month, is also a possibility. However, it is highly probable that should Netflix secure NFL rights it would put the Christmas Day games on all subscription tiers. The company has lagged behind other streamers in encouraging new customers to opt for the lower-priced tier. While Netflix obviously pulls in more subscription revenue from the more expensive tiers, it is ultimately able to generate more revenue per user on the ad-supported tier by combining the monthly subscription fee and the ad rates it is able to charge thanks to its dominant position in the market.

Until May 16, fans can save up to $215 on the 2024 season of NFL Sunday Ticket. Those who don’t bundle with YouTube TV will see the price drop to $349 for the year, while those who do can get the package for just $179 for the 2024 season with a limited-time discount.

Determining the monthly price here can get a bit tricky, but we’ll walk you through step-by-step. Viewers can split the price of their Sunday Ticket subscription into four monthly installments. Those who sign up for just Sunday Ticket at the current deal price will pay $87.25 per month, while those who subscribe to YouTube TV will pay $44.75. However, bundlers will also have to pay $57.99 per month for the YouTube TV subscription, raising their total monthly cost to $102.74. The last month will rise in price again, as the $57.99 rate is a promotional offer from YouTube TV for the first three months of service.
